Pastor Shane Stamm

Greetings,

First let me say, it is my pleasure to serve God as lead pastor of Solid Rock Bible Church. This is one of the friendliest and loving church families with which I have ever had the pleasure of serving for the Kingdom of God. 

I would like to share just a snippet of my life and ministry for His Kingdom. I am a transplant from Illinois and have lived in KC for thirty-six years. I grew up in Northeast KC where I graduated from Northeast High School. There I met, and later married, my high-school sweetheart, Kelly. We have three great kiddos: Cody, Alexandria, and Josiah. For nineteen years, I had the honor of serving this great city as a Kansas City, Missouri police officer. But in December, 2013, God called me out of that job to pastor full-time! I attended Midwestern Theological Seminary with Biblical Studies as my major. Prior to serving at Solid Rock, I was the pastor of Open Door Bible Baptist Church in the Northland of KC for nine years.

Some hobbies I enjoy are playing softball, riding motorcycles, and dirt bikes. We are fans of the Chicago Bears football team (please don’t hold that against me). Really, though, my greatest joy is family time with the wife and kids! 

Let’s shift gears to talk about this wonderful church family! What I love about our church family at Solid Rock is that we try to live by the Word of God, and to love each other as Christ has loved us. We are a diverse church with many different backgrounds. With our differences, we keep Jesus’ words before us as we strive to serve Him as one unified family of God.

I believe we make it our commitment to:

"Exalt Jesus, Equip the saints, and Evangelize those seeking a new life to be lived out in Christ." 

Accordingly, we offer numerous opportunities each week for our members, regular attenders, and guests to connect with God. It’s our commitment as a family of believers to grow in Christ-likeness, and serve God.  This we do through Sunday classes, worship service, discipleship, evangelism, and fellowship ministries.   

We hope that as you participate in the life of our church family, either as a long time member or our guest for the day, that you would experience our desire to love God, love truth, and love people. I personally look forward to every opportunity to serve with my brothers and sisters in Christ at Solid Rock. And I look forward to having an opportunity to get to know you as well. Please drop in at one of our scheduled gatherings, and spend some time with the family!
